Mountains... I need mountains...

Still dreaming of mountains up here in my garret. Working on a couple of alpine based projects at the moment so all my references are calling me to get sliding down a hill sometime soon. Hence, I'm posting some shots from my Whistler scout from this week last year.

Mini Boden Spring 10

Here are the latest shots from the new Mini Boden Spring collection. My art direction for this was inspired by the 70s TV show, The Red Hand Gang, where kids would go round solving mysteries and such. A bit like Scooby Doo without the ghosts and snacks. It was shot in the LA suburbs, mostly in Pasadena but also North Hollywood. Photography is by my good mate (and terrible snowboarder) Tim Marsella.

Slim Aarons

One of my favourites. A well known documentary photographer of high society from the 40s until the 80s , Mr Aarons has enjoyed a resurgence in recent years, due, perhaps, to JCrew's magpie like obsession a while back with his timeless, portrait based take on the whole WASP lifestyle. His book A Wonderful Time mysteriously vanished from our old office at Arena, and I see they are now going for up to $600 on eBay. Unless you're flush, make do with the reissues his work in Once Upon a Time, Poolside and A Place in the Sun instead.
